Making Your Users Feel Special & 30 Boxes

Two things on my radar today; first a look at Andy Budd’s opening presentation at Web Directions User Experience conference. Andy has done an eloquent job of examining a well-known, real-life example that exposes some basic yet fundamental concepts of User Experience Design. He has really shown just exactly what excites and interests me about UX – such a wonderful opportunity to offer not just a usable product, but provide people with a valuable, rewarding experience.

The other interesting tidbit is Design Observer’s presentation of a booklet that was given out at last year’s AIGA conference. The Next Page: Thirty Tables of Contents provides an interesting look at an often ignored aspect of print design – creating a table of contents that matches the theme and mood of the book it refers to.
